Invisalign offers a discreet alternative to traditional braces, using nearly invisible clear aligners to gently guide your teeth into their desired position.
Through a series of custom-created trays, your teeth move gradually with minimal disruption to your daily routine, giving you the smile you’ve been seeking without the visibility of metal brackets and wires.

Your Invisalign Journey
Our experienced team uses advanced Invisalign technology to create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs. Through SmartTrack material and SmartForce features, we ensure gentle, predictable tooth movement with optimal comfort.
The entire process typically takes approximately 13.5 months, though timelines vary based on individual circumstances.
1. Examination and Treatment Planning | 1 to 2 weeks
Your initial visit includes a comprehensive dental exam to ensure you’re a candidate for Invisalign. We take digital x-rays, scans, or moulds of your teeth for the ClinCheck system to create your personalised treatment plan.
2. Aligner Creation and First Fitting | 2 to 4 weeks
Your information is sent to the Invisalign lab to create your series of custom alignment trays. When ready, we’ll schedule an appointment to try your first tray and provide detailed instructions for use and care.
3. Active Treatment with Periodic Reviews | 12 to 18 months
You’ll wear each tray for approximately two weeks, 20 to 22 hours daily, to move your teeth steadily into their desired position. Periodic visits allow us to monitor your progress and provide new sets of trays as your treatment advances.
Risks and Recovery
Like any orthodontic treatment, Invisalign comes with potential risks and recovery considerations.
Possible Risk Includes:
- Mild discomfort or pressure when changing to a new set of aligners
- Temporary irritation to the cheeks, lips, or tongue
- Short-term changes to speech, usually resolving as you adapt
- Risk of cavities or gum irritation if aligners are not cleaned properly
- Small chance of aligners warping if exposed to heat
Recovery Considerations:
- Many patients adapt to aligner wear within a few days
- Aligners can be removed for eating and cleaning, so there is no dietary restriction
- Consistency is important, as aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours per day for the best results
- Regular reviews are scheduled to monitor progress and make adjustments if needed

INVESTING IN YOUR SMILE
frequent asked questions
Is Invisalign right for me?
Many patients are candidates for Invisalign, but certain situations may require alternative treatments. Invisalign works best for mild to moderate alignment concerns, including crooked teeth, gaps, and bite issues.
It may not be suitable for young people whose teeth are still maturing, those with multiple missing teeth, severely crooked or tipped teeth, or active gum disease. Additionally, successful treatment requires wearing aligners 20 to 22 hours daily, which may be challenging for some. During your complimentary consultation, we’ll evaluate your specific situation to determine if Invisalign is right for you.
How do I care for my Invisalign aligners?
Caring for your Invisalign aligners is straightforward and essential for successful treatment. Remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water, and brush your teeth before reinserting them to prevent cavities and staining.
Clean your aligners daily with a soft toothbrush and clear, antibacterial soap or the Invisalign cleaning system. Avoid hot water, as it can warp the plastic. Store aligners in their protective case when not wearing them, and never wrap them in tissue, as they can easily be discarded by mistake.
Do clear aligners cause discomfort?
Mild discomfort or pressure is common when switching to a new aligner. This is a normal sign that your teeth are moving into their new positions.
For most people, this sensation settles within a few days as your mouth adjusts to each new tray. The discomfort is typically much less than what you might experience with traditional braces, as there are no metal brackets or wires.
