Designing Around Your Face, Not Just Your Teeth
Dr Thea Pabustan describes the process as something that happens well before any procedure begins, once she understands exactly what a patient is looking for. From there, the focus shifts to Digital Smile Design itself, a step built to plan around a patient’s own face and features, rather than working from a generic template of what a smile “should” look like.
How the Digital Smile Design Process Works
Capturing Photos and Video
Photos and video are taken to map the relationship between the teeth, lips, and facial features, giving the design process a full picture to work from rather than a single angle or shot.
Building the Preview
That information is then used to bring the design together into a preview, so patients can see a considered plan for their smile before any treatment decisions are made.
Digital Smile Design for Sunbury and Melbourne’s North West
Patients travelling in from Keilor, Essendon, Moonee Ponds, and further across the north west corridor go through the same Digital Smile Design process on their first visit to Dental Couture, regardless of distance travelled. It is the step that shapes everything that follows, whether that ends up being veneers, Invisalign, or a broader treatment plan.
